What is recommended that you do is to sit and meditate along with using deep breathing to control your body and relax your mind.

The direct method is one recommended by psychologists. The concept here is to work on expressing honest feelings about the other person in a "hands off" manor. It is important in this method to keep an open line of communication with the person who you are upset with.

With this method it means you take responsibility for what you have done and you no longer make excuses for what you have done. So no more blaming others for your actions! This is a hard method to accomplish because many with anger issues have trouble admitting self failure or admitting they are lacking in certain area's of there life.

The next approach you can use to help with your anger management issues is the focused approach. This works great if you are in the middle of an argument with somebody else. With this method you will stick to the issue that is present; you don't want to bring up the past in the middle of an argument. It's like adding fuel to the fire if you bring up past issues!

Listening is another technique for anger management. Stopping to listen to all that others have to say can help prevent an anger episode. Once a person gets angry, it is harder to hear what other people have to say. They tend to feel threatened.

These anger management techniques will only work for the people who truly apply them. It's easy to use them when you're a little mad, but you will truly overcome your anger issues when your able to remain calm in the most heated moment when someone has really ticked you off.
